EngStressStrain to Mat24 Workflow ================================== .. _Engstressstrain_to_MAT: 1. :ref:`\Indroduction` 2. :ref:`\Workflow Inputs` 3. :ref:`\Workflow Outputs` 4. :ref:`\Introduction to the Workflow User Interface` 5. :ref:`\Start Worker` 6. :ref:`\Execution` .. _intro004ductions: Introduction ================ Converting a stress-strain curve to a material card is a process that involves extracting relevant material parameters from experimental data (typically from a stress-strain curve) and then formatting these parameters into a material card for use in computational simulations. The Mat24 format is typically used in software for defining 3D material behavior, which includes the use of plasticity models, yield surfaces, and hardening laws Pre-requisites =============== To use this workflow, a general overview of the Workflow applications and Workers are recommended in addition to basic introduction to Ansys LS-DYNA solver. Please contact support@d3view.com to get more information on these topics if you are unfamiliar with these topics. .. _workerinputs004: Worker inputs ==================== This workflow requires below Inputs 1.File Input 2.Eng SS curve 3.Stress Scale factor 4.Strain Scale factor 5.Elastic Modulus 6.Digitizing option .. _workeroutput004: Workflow Output ==================== The Workflow output gives the user a MAT_024 without Strain rates keyword file. The user will be able to produce the MAT_024 file and export file for further use. The Mat24 format is typically used in software for defining 3D material behavior, which includes the use of plasticity models, yield surfaces, and hardening laws. .. thumbnail:: /_images/Images/engsstomatoutput.png :title: d3VIEW_EngSS_to_MAT Output | | ..userinterface004: Introduction to the Workflow User Interface ================================================= The workflow is available as part of the Workflow Library and is named as ‘004_EngStressStrain to Mat24’. The date of update of this workflow might change based on the build and it is recommended to use the latest workflow. When the workflow is opened, the user is presented with the following of the Workflow. .. thumbnail:: /_images/Images/engsstomat.png :title: d3VIEW_EngSS_to_MAT | | .. _introductiontostartworker004: Introduction to the START worker ===================================== The START worker is identified as shown below and contains inputs. The only interaction we need is with the START worker to provide necessary inputs followed by execution of the Workflow .. thumbnail:: /_images/Images/engstartworker.png :title: Start worker | | Start worker has the inputs which can be modified and workflow can be executed .. thumbnail:: /_images/Images/startworker004inputs.png :title: Start worker inputs | | Purpose of the Workflow ============================= Preparing MAT_024 Material Cards from Eng Stress Strain curve. The Process involves adding of inputs in start worker and then digitizing the curve, scaling the curve and conversion of the curve input from Start worker to MAT 24 Card. The below screenshot shows an example of curve converted to MAT 24 Card .. thumbnail:: /_images/Images/startworker004purpose.png :title: PreparingMAT_024 Material Cards from Eng Stress Strain curve | | .. _execution004: Workflow Execution ========================== Once the START worker is populated with the required inputs, the execution panel shown below can be used to execute the Workflow. The RUN button executes the workflow and RESUME button resumes from the point at which the workflow was stopped. During the execution, the STOP button can be used to pause the execution at any time for inspection. The VALIDATE is a useful option to verify prior to execution to ensure all required inputs are correctly defined. RESET allows the workflow to be reset to its initial state. The bar icon allows to inspect the execution time of the Workflow and is helpful to capture any long-running tasks or to understand the workflow and its worker performance. .. thumbnail:: /_images/Images/004eexecution.png :title: Execution of the Workflow | | The Below link is the link to download the sample Workflow. https://www.d3view.com/downloads/workflows/004_EngStressStrainToMat24_G2_110424.d3WfZip | |
