DATASET SLICE¶
Extracts a contiguous sub-range of rows from a dataset by applying a row-level offset and optional length limit. Use it to page through large datasets, skip header rows, or isolate a specific window of records for downstream processing.
When to use¶
Classification: process.

Inputs¶
| Label | ID | Type | Default | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Choose Dataset | dataset_1 | dataset | — | The source dataset whose rows will be sliced; accepts any tabular dataset available on the platform. | |
| Offset | offset | scalar | 0 | Zero-based row index at which the slice begins (default 0 = start from the first row); must be a non-negative integer. | |
| Length | length | scalar | 0 | Number of rows to return after the offset (default 0 = return all remaining rows); set to a positive integer to limit the output window. |
Outputs¶
| Label | ID | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| dataset_get_first_row_output_1 | dataset_get_first_row_output_1 | dataset | Sliced dataset containing only the rows within the requested offset/length window, preserving the original column structure. |
