  2. The seamless connection of d3VIEW’s multiple applications, such as Submit, Templates, Simlytiks, Database, etc. provides a unique user experience that saves users a ton of time and increases productivity.​
  3. A job submitted in d3VIEW gets automatically published and postprocessed on the server itself by using d3VIEW’s Template application.​
  4. This saves users a time involved in files copying and postprocessing.​
  5. As soon as a job is done solving, the simulation results are readily available on d3VIEW for users to visualize and make decisions.​

31.5. User Reviews

  3. At this point, d3VIEW is the only tool that is customized with complex workflows to create accurate Gissmo fracture material models. If d3VIEW is not there, the delivery of 4 materials will be delayed by say 50% this year. I am anticipating all the 4 materials to be in database by Feb 2024. We may delay to June of 2024 if we go manual route. d3VIEW process (a template cookbook) for creating mat models will be created so that future will create material models.​

  4. d3VIEW (with all the developed and built-in complex workflows) comes along with one support person who helps Safety CAE in creating “best guess” fracture material models (including many plastics) when limited supplier data is available (approx. 2/3 materials per week). This data is made available in 1 day with d3VIEW. Manually for the same 2/3 materials, it will take 4 days. This significantly increases our engineer’s productivity.​

  5. Material Model Calibration​.

    d3VIEW-generated GISSMO fracture material models have better accuracy in terms of CAE correlation with test coupons than the manually generated ones (approximately 20% better). ​

  6. Customized Workers & LSDyna Integration​

  7. Many of the math functions and customized workers for developing a Gissmo material model for Crash and Safety CAE has been developed and cannot be replicated or availed from any other tool at the moment. It takes time to redevelop it.​

  8. The developed customized complex workflows in D3View are integrated with HPC, where we can run LSDyna simulations and use optimization ​

  9. Techniques to create these Gissmo fracture material models. ​
